Prerequisites for Onboarding into the Endpoint Security Module
To ensure a successful installation and configuration of the EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) solution, please ensure the following prerequisites are met:
MDM Availability Check:
Confirm if you have an MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution in place.
If yes, the EDR agent can be pushed centrally to all laptops.
If no, proceed to the next steps for manual deployment.
Admin Account Access:
Ensure you have an admin account with access to the platform (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) to retrieve user details.
User Selection:
Use the admin account to retrieve and select the list of users whose laptops need the EDR agent installed.
Agent Deployment:
With MDM: The EDR agent will be pushed automatically to all laptops.
Without MDM: An email with installation instructions will be sent to the selected users for manual installation.
